Celebrated physician Dr. Frederick Frankenstein tries to avoid discussing his grandfather Victor, the mad scientist responsible for creating ‘The Monster’. A death in the family means he must travel to the family’s ancestral home in Transylvania, in order to take stock of his inheritance. There, he discovers his Victor’s old journals, and with the encouragement of a servants Igor and Inga,  begins to recreate his grandfather’s disturbing experiments on human life.

Another hilarious collaboration between Gene Wilder and Mel Brooks, Young Frankenstein is the ultimate comedy horror.

  • Doors for this event will open at 18:45. The film will commence with a short talk at approximately 19:00. The event will conclude at approximately 21:15
  • Averys wine cellar can be accessed either through the Averys shop (accessed via stairs), or through the side entrance on Frogmore Street.
  • Averys cellar is suitable for disabled access, however we do ask any guests who have accessibility queries or concerns to contact us directly. We remind guests that there are some uneven areas of floor in the cellar.
  • Guests will receive a glass of sparkling wine on arrival, followed by four wines during the film. Water will be available throughout the evening.
  • The BBFC have rated this film 12A. Moderate sex references (BBFC)
  • This film will be screened without subtitles.
