Vintage Screenings pair classic films with thematically linked wine tastings to create unique evenings in the stunning setting of Averys Wine Merchants’ historic wine cellar. Following a sparkling wine reception, the film will be accompanied by a tasting of four carefully selected wines courtesy of Averys’ resident experts.

These intimate screenings will celebrate a diverse range of films that the Festival team have personally selected; from genre highlights to foreign cinema, to underrated classics to indie gems, we’ll be showing a mix of great cinema that deserves a wider audience.

The historic Clifton Observatory plays host to our Spirit Of Cinema screenings, which pair classic films with great drinks. Join us in this intimate setting overlooking the Avon Gorge and Clifton Suspension Bridge, and (weather permitting) enjoy the stunning views day and night before the film begins.

Take your seats in Bristol’s incredible Planetarium at We The Curious, the Festival’s destination for space and sci-fi films on the big screen. Explore the Planetarium’s Space exhibition before the screening and see if you’re cut out for a life in space, have a drink then recline in this unique screening space, as the lights dim and your journey begins…
