Thursday sees our ‘Bristol In Focus’ event in the Mall Gardens. As the name suggests, this day focuses on films that were either made in the city, feature actors associated with the city, or were written, produced or directed by Bristolians.
In addition, throughout the day we will be hosting a summer gifts fair, promoting small and independent Bristol-based producers. Arrive early and explore!

The Titfield Thunderbolt tells the story of villagers trying to keep their local railway running in the face of closure by British Railways; their misadventures are the epitome of the quintessential, mildly anarchic wit of Ealing Comedies. The film was shot on the recently closed Camerton Branch of the Bristol and North Somerset Railway, and even features Temple Meads doubling in for a fictional station. It’s a winning combination of local history and the spiritedness that defines the Ealing hallmark.

The Mall Gardens is located in the centre of Clifton Village, just off The Mall.
The main entrance to the venue is on West Mall (what.3.words ///woke.bucket.loves)
Buses 8 & 9 both stop in Clifton Village, a short walk from the venue. The nearest train station is Clifton Down, which a 20-25 minute walk from the venue.
There are numerous bicycle racks in Clifton Village and the area is within the WESTscoot e-scooter operating zone.
Parking in Clifton Village is limited and subject to restrictions.
Wherever possible, we encourage walking or the use of public transport when travelling to our events.

The Mall Gardens Clifton has level access via the West Mall entrance. .
Whilst the site is flat, some areas may be uneven, or have grass or matting underfoot.
