Taking place in the beautiful Mall Gardens in the heart of Clifton Village, this is outdoor cinema with a twist. Relax in the Central Arena before the film, with drinks, displays, tastings and local food vendors, then make your way into one our two cinema spaces for the main event. With covered seating, a state-of-the-art LED screen and wireless headphones, enjoy your film come rain or shine - it's a Summer experience that’s not to be missed.
Thursday sees our ‘Bristol In Focus’ event in the Mall Gardens. As the name suggests, this day focuses on films that were either made in the city, feature actors associated with the city, or were written, produced or directed by Bristolians.
In addition, throughout the day we will be hosting a summer gifts fair, promoting small and independent Bristol-based producers. Arrive early and explore!
Our programming begins with a screening of the 1950 adaptation of Treasure Island. This swashbuckling adventure begins with scenes shot on location in Bristol’s Floating Harbour, and also includes Geoffrey Keen among the cast, who was educated locally and made his stage debut in the city.
Besides the local links, this was Disney’s first ever fully live-action film and the first colour adapation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s novel, making it a notable milestone in pop culture history as the studio moved beyond its animation roots – plus Robert Newton’s legendary performance as Long John Silver has forever linked the West Country accent with “pirate talk”…!

The Mall Gardens is located in the centre of Clifton Village, just off The Mall.
The main entrance to the venue is on West Mall (what.3.words ///woke.bucket.loves)
Buses 8 & 9 both stop in Clifton Village, a short walk from the venue. The nearest train station is Clifton Down, which a 20-25 minute walk from the venue.
There are numerous bicycle racks in Clifton Village and the area is within the WESTscoot e-scooter operating zone.
Parking in Clifton Village is limited and subject to restrictions.
Wherever possible, we encourage walking or the use of public transport when travelling to our events.

The Mall Gardens Clifton has level access via the West Mall entrance. .
Whilst the site is flat, some areas may be uneven, or have grass or matting underfoot.
