Thursday sees our ‘Bristol In Focus’ event in the Mall Gardens. As the name suggests, this day focuses on films that were either made in the city, feature actors associated with the city, or were written, produced or directed by Bristolians.
In addition, throughout the day we will be hosting a summer gifts fair, promoting small and independent Bristol-based producers. Arrive early and explore!
Usually held in Averys Wine Merchants’ historic wine cellar, this July our Vintage Screenings are going on tour, to Screen 2 in The Mall Gardens. Following a sparkling wine on arrival, the film will be accompanied by a themed tasting of four carefully selected wines.
Following a sell-out screening in January, we’re hosting another 80th anniversary screening of Alfred Hitchcock’s Notorious. This gripping espionage thriller has hints of both film noir and romantic melodrama, and the central trio of standout performances from Ingrid Bergman, Bristol’s very own Cary Grant and Claude Rains make this one of Hitchcock’s finest films. Given the importance of a wine cellar to the plot and Grant’s local links, we’ll be pairing it with wines that have a rich history linked with Bristol…

The Mall Gardens is located in the centre of Clifton Village, just off The Mall.
The main entrance to the venue is on West Mall (what.3.words ///woke.bucket.loves)
Buses 8 & 9 both stop in Clifton Village, a short walk from the venue. The nearest train station is Clifton Down, which a 20-25 minute walk from the venue.
There are numerous bicycle racks in Clifton Village and the area is within the WESTscoot e-scooter operating zone.
Parking in Clifton Village is limited and subject to restrictions.
Wherever possible, we encourage walking or the use of public transport when travelling to our events.

Whilst the site is flat, some areas may be uneven, or have grass or matting underfoot.
