“‘Blood Diamond’ is quite a ride: a gripping tale of greed and exploitation set against a background that seems constantly on the verge of explosive violence [...] Plus, it’s a relief to find an Oscar-baiting prestige product like this that actually has a story to tell and a degree of thematic depth”

BRISTOL FILM FESTIVAL x EVERYMAN: EPICS @ EVERYMAN
Back for 2026, we’re excited to announce the return of “Epics @ Everyman”, our quarterly partnership with Everyman Bristol. We’ll be screening classic films from across the decades, particularly those with longer run times, that you can enjoy from the comfort of Everyman’s sofa seats.
May’s selection is a 20th anniversary screening of the gripping political thriller Blood Diamond. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Djimon Hounsou in Oscar-nominated performances, it tells the story of a fisherman, a smuggler and a journalist whose lives intersect during the Sierra Leone Civil War in the pursuit of a rare diamond. Mixing explosive action with a deeper message, it’s a moving story of survival, redemption, and the human cost behind a luxury industry.
Your ticket includes a complimentary drink, collected as you enter the cinema (alcoholic and non-alcoholic options available).
PLEASE NOTE: ticketing for this event is being handled via Everyman. Please use the button below to access their booking page. Unfortunately we cannot process Red Carpet Club discounts or voucher codes for this event at this time.
