THE ADDAMS FAMILY at Arnos Vale Cemetery

  • Arnos Vale Cemetery Bath Road Bristol, BS4 3EW United Kingdom (map)
‘The Addams Family’ is more laughs than a casketful of whoopee cushions at a morticians’ convention. More than merely a sequel of the TV series, the film is a compendium of paterfamilias Charles Addams’s macabre drawings, a resurrection of the cartoonist’s body of work. For family friends, it would seem a viewing is de rigueur mortis

DOORS: 17:30 | FILM STARTS 17:45

We’re returning to Arnos Vale Cemetery, Bristol’s very own necropolis, for the start of our Halloween Season 2026. Enter this fascinating space after hours, get a drink from the bar, then make your way to the beautiful Anglican Chapel to take your seat, and enjoy the show in this unique and historic venue.

Our first film for Halloween 2026 at Arnos Vale is the gloriously ghoulish The Addams Family, the family’s first feature film outing that is somehow turning 35 this year... Featuring a stellar ensemble cast – including Anjelica Huston and the late, great Raúl Juliá as Morticia and Gomez – this bona fide cult classic was voted Best Horror Film of 1991 by the Horror Hall of Fame. Yes, that’s right, this PG-rated family misadventure beat the likes of The Silence Of The Lambs!

About The Film

1991 | 12A | 99 mins

When a con artist realises that her adopted son bears an uncanny resemblance to a long-missing aristocrat, she plans a scheme to dupe the aristocrat’s family into revealing their treasures. Unfortunately for the plotters, they have targeted the creepy, kooky, mysterious, spooky, altogether ooky Addams Family…

Contains moderate bloody images, mild threat and horror, very mild bad language
