C’mon Bristol, it’s time to make your mark!
Our friends at Studio 74 are teaming up with The Downs Café this weekend for a vibrant community art experience…
This Bank Holiday Sunday from 10am, get ready for a full day of creativity, connection, and colour as Studio 74 teams up with the much-loved The Downs Café to present “Make Your Mark!” — a vibrant, interactive community art experience for everyone.
Get creative as we want to encourage everyone no matter your age or artistic skills, everyone is invited to take part in building a giant collaborative artwork that reflects the spirit of Bristol. No experience needed — just show up and get stuck in!
All paints, brushes, stencils, and materials are provided — completely free. Just bring yourself, friends, family, and your imagination.
Participants will be painting directly onto giant, custom-cut canvases shaped in true Bristol fashion — from hot air balloons to urban art motifs honouring icons such as our Late Majesty The Queen. Over the course of the day, multiple large-scale art pieces will take shape, created by the people of Bristol as a shared celebration of creativity and community.
To top it off, one of these incredible group-made works will be selected as the community favourite and will be unveiled as a special gift to renowned mixed media artist Dan Pearce at
“This is about bringing people together, letting go of any inhibitions and collectively having some fun!” says Gallery Director, Ellena Norman
“You don’t need to be an artist — you just need to show up and be part of something meaningful and use the power of art to all come together.”
