In Partnership with Avon Gorge by Hotel Du Vin
“The kind of thought-provoking, well-written and savvy film that discerning filmgoers long for but rarely get”
DOORS: 18:00 | FILM STARTS 19:00
Join us for a very special centenary screening in partnership with Hotel du Vin Avon Gorge: we’ll be showing acclaimed docudrama The Queen on 21st April, which is the late monarch’s 100th birthday. Helen Mirren won an Oscar for Best Actress for her portrayal of Elizabeth II - and even received praise from the Queen herself! - in Stephen Frears’ spellbinding film, which is turning 20 this year.
Set within the luxurious Aquam Bibe rooms at the Avon Gorge Hotel, overlooking the dramatic Avon Gorge and Clifton Suspension Bridge, guests are invited to arrive early for a sparkling drinks reception and to browse our Partner Showcase, featuring a curated selection of brands to enjoy pre-film.
Full of wit, humour and pathos, it’s a nuanced exploration of one of the most significant figures in recent history, and promises to be a wonderful evening.
