“One of the great movies that can break the audience’s heart while still making them laugh [...] One of the top 10 movies of the 2020s so far”
DOORS: 18:30 | FILM STARTS 18:50
We’re partnering with our friends at Wiper and True in Q1 of 2026 for some more comedy screenings from the British Isles. Head to this award-winning local brewery’s taproom in Old Market and enjoy a free welcome pint from their draught range upon arrival, including delicious alcohol-free versions of their famous Kaleidoscope pale ale and Tomorrow lager. The taproom is open after the film ends.
Our final film selection for Q1 is a St Patrick’s Day screening of Martin McDonagh’s Oscar-nominated The Banshees Of Inisherin. The In Bruges director reunites Brendan Gleeson and Colin Farrell in this wickedly tragicomic tale of two friends falling out suddenly against the backdrop of the end of the Irish Civil War - bleakly funny, scathingly angry and laced with allegory and characteristically macabre philosophy, it’s a standout work for all involved and a modern classic that’s not to be missed.
NB: this screening will be subtitled
Please note that this event is strictly for over-18s only
