New for summer 2026 is our first collaboration with Rhapsody, Bristol’s very own Greek wine bar and restaurant - and we’ve got the perfect pairing to launch our events with them… Join us this June for a Saturday afternoon matinee screening in Rhapsody’s intimate event space, where you’ll be welcomed with a complimentary glass of Greek wine (or alternative drink) and you can preorder a delicious meze platter to accompany the film.
For our inaugural event with Rhapsody, we’ll be screening the delightful and empowering Shirley Valentine. Follow the journey of Shirley, a middle-aged housewife, who finds herself rediscovering her independence and zest for life after a spontaneous trip to Greece. Full of humour, heart, and stunning Mediterranean views, this charming film explores themes of self-discovery and the courage to break free from the ordinary. With unforgettable performances and a heartwarming story, Shirley Valentine is the perfect escape for anyone in need of a little inspiration. Sit back and join Shirley as she embarks on a life-changing adventure!

About The Location
Indulge in the elegance of myth and melody at Rhapsody Wine Bar—Bristol’s first Greek wine sanctuary inspired by timeless tales and theatrical charm.
Nestled beside the city’s iconic theatres, Rhapsody offers a refined yet relaxed setting—perfect for pre-show indulgence, post-performance reflection, or an enchanting evening all on its own.
Savour rare Greek wines and artisan meze in an atmosphere where ancient myth meets modern sophistication. Whether you're gathering for an intimate toast or enjoying a quiet glass solo, each visit promises a journey through bold flavors, graceful storytelling, and the warm spirit of Greek hospitality.
The word ‘rhapsody’ speaks of an expressive, free-flowing piece of music, often passionate and improvisational, just like the spontaneous joy of good wine shared among friends. It also draws from the ancient Greek rhapsōidos, a reciter of epic poetry, echoing our roots in storytelling, culture, and deep tradition.
We share a kitchen link with our sister venue, Hat Bistro, allowing us to offer signature hot Greek dishes like Moussaka, Pastitsio, Giouvetsi, and Kleftiko - pairable with the perfect glass, of course.
