The final day of our 2026 Summer Season begins with a 30th anniversary screening of Matilda. Danny DeVitodirects and co-stars in this spellbindingstory of the little girl with a big heart –and seemingly magical powers – who uses her abilities to mischievously wreak revenge on bullies, villains and ne’er-do-wells. There are no weak links in the cast, bu tMara Wilson as the eponymous heroine squaring up to Pam Ferris’ turn as the tyrannical headmistress Miss Trunchbull is a hero-villain duo for the ages! Joyful, empowering, and endlessly rewatchable, Matilda is a big screen delight for children and inner children alike, and a reminder that even the smallest people can change their world.

• GETTING HERE

  • The Mall Gardens is located in the centre of Clifton Village, just off The Mall. 

  • The main entrance to the venue is on West Mall (what.3.words reference ///woke.bucket.loves)

  • Buses 8 & 9 both stop in Clifton Village, a short walk from the venue. The nearest train station is Clifton Down, which a 20-25 minute walk from the venue.

  • There are numerous bicycle racks in Clifton Village and the area is within the WESTscoot e-scooter operating zone.

  • Parking in Clifton Village is limited and subject to restrictions.

  • Wherever possible, we encourage walking or the use of public transport when travelling to our events.

• ACCESSIBILITY

  • The Mall Gardens Clifton has level access via the West Mall entrance.

  • Whilst the site is flat, some areas may be uneven, or have grass or matting underfoot.

  • If you require a designated wheelchair space please let us know in advance.

  • If you are attending an event as a registered carer for a disabled guest, please bring appropriate proof of eligibility such as proof of blue badge, access card, cinema for all card, letter from a professional or evidence of DLA/PIP. If you are uncertain, please contact us.

  • A wheelchair-accessible toilet will be available at the event.

  • Headphones: this event requires wireless headsets to be used during the film. The headsets can be used with hearing aids. Please get in contact for further detail.
