“The added 45 minutes are like pieces missing from a beautiful but incomplete puzzle [...] It’s better [than the theatrical cut] by far, full of detail and a landscape inhabited by rounded characters”

BRISTOL FILM FESTIVAL x EVERYMAN: EPICS @ EVERYMAN
Back for 2025, we’re excited to announce the return of “Epics @ Everyman”, our partnership with Everyman Bristol. We’ll be screening classic films from across the decades, particularly those with longer run times, that you can enjoy from the comfort of Everyman’s sofa seats.
Our next selection for 2025 is a 20th anniversary screening of the Director’s Cut of Kingdom Of Heaven. Ridley Scott restored over 45 minutes to his medieval drama to critical acclaim, with Empire Magazine calling the restored footage “like pieces missing from a beautiful but incomplete puzzle.” With an all-star ensemble cast and stunning cinematography, it’s epic in the truest sense of the word!
Your ticket includes a complimentary glass of wine, collected as you enter the cinema.
(A non-alcoholic substitute drink is available upon request on the night)
PLEASE NOTE: ticketing for this event is being handled via Everyman. Please use the button below to access their booking page. Unfortunately we cannot process Red Carpet Club discounts or voucher codes for this event at this time.
About The Film

In medieval Europe, grieving blacksmith Balian becomes a knight and defends Jerusalem during the Crusades. Caught between empires, faiths, and fierce battles, he fights for peace in a brutal world. Epic, morally complex, and visually stunning, Kingdom Of Heaven explores honour, redemption, and the cost of righteousness in a divided land.
Contains strong bloody violence
