“It takes 20 years to build a reputation and a few minutes of a cyber-incident to ruin it”
We’re pleased to announce a new talk series for 2026 in conjunction with Origin Workspace, Insights @ Origin. With a range of national and international leaders in their respective fields giving fascinating insights into their areas of expertise, from wildlife conservation to AI technology, it promises to be an informative, engaging and eye-opening addition to the 2026 calendar. Join us in Origin’s state-of-the-art event space for these thought-provoking and insightful talks, including a welcome arrival drink, and Q&A sessions as well as time for networking and relaxed social discussion after the main event.
The 2026 programme commences on Thursday 29th January with The Experts’ Guide To Cyber Security. With the global threat of cybercrime greater than ever before, and affecting businesses and organisations of all sizes (as well as individuals), it has never been more important to understand the risks, and how to mitigate them. With a panel led by Andy Powell, Chief Information Security Officer for global shipping and logistics giant Maersk, this talk will explore real world experiences of the impact of cybercrime, alongside practical advice on what everyone should be doing to combat risk, deal with crisis management, and the options available for cyber-recovery if the worst happens.
The final lineup of speakers will be announced very shortly - we hope that you can join us for this inaugural event on a topic that affects all of us on a daily basis, whether we realise it or not.
