“The editing, of enjoyably intimate footage from backstage, on stage, under stagedives and back in the tour bus, keeps the tempo as high as their hits”

**Bristol Film Festival, AF Gang and the DGG Teams present: A Special Fan Meet-Up, Don’t Go Gentle Screening + Q&A Event**
In Bristol for IDLES’ big hometown shows this August? So are we…
We’re delighted to be collaborating again with IDLES’ official fan movement, the AF Gang, for two special screenings of Don’t Go Gentle: A Film About Idles, the 2021 documentary about Bristol’s beloved band. The film enjoyed success on the festival circuit on its release, and we’re very excited to present these hometown screenings to coincide with their homecoming gigs.
Join members of the Don’t Go Gentle team and AF Gang members for this special screening, plus an exhibition of IDLES photos by Lindsay Melbourne, and connect with AF Gang members and fans to celebrate before the shows each day. There will be a post-film Q&A and plenty of opportunities to celebrate all things IDLES!
The screening is taking place in the historic Averys Wine Cellars. This unique venue is almost 250 years old, and only a 5 minute walk from the concert itself - you can enjoy a glass of wine (or alternatives) in their bar before the film, with doors opening an hour before the film starts.
About The Film
2021 | 15 | 75 mins
Don't Go Gentle is a film about finding strength in vulnerability. It journeys through IDLES’ determination, friendship and adversity as they fight for a place in a divided socio-political environment, unexpectedly inspiring and unifying an international community along the way.
Contains infrequent strong language, moderate sex references
