Join us this February at 1532 Performing Arts Centre as we celebrate Britain’s much-loved rock band, Queen!

Charting the band’s meteoric rise and the turbulent, fascinating life of their unforgettable frontman, Freddie Mercury, this Oscar-winning film delivers a heartfelt, human story set to a host of show-stopping Queen hits.

We’re also delighted to be joined by our friends at BLOC Productions, Bristol’s premier musical theatre company, who are gearing up for their August 2026 production of We Will Rock You at the Bristol Hippodrome. Members of the company will perform a Queen-inspired medley before the film — the perfect warm-up for the main event!

About The Performers

BLOC Productions is an award-winning musical theatre company that has been dedicated to performing light opera and musicals in Bristol for over 90 years. Their mission is to promote the performing arts in the region and to provide opportunity and encouragement for talented amateur performers.

BLOC Productions is currently the only non-professional company able to perform once a year at The Bristol Hippodrome, where they enjoy a reputation for producing shows of a highly professional standard. They were the first company to be offered the rights to Evita by The Really Useful Company and one of the first companies to be offered Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

In 2025, BLOC Productions was invited by Cameron Mackintosh and Music Theatre International (MTI) to be one of only 11 clubs across the UK to be granted a one-off amateur licence to perform one of the UK amateur premières of the full version of Les Misérables - “Let The People Sing” in 2025, as part of the iconic show’s 40th Anniversary celebrations. In 2026, they return to the Hippodrome for an exciting production of We Will Rock You.
