“This Batman is a stunning achievement, especially through the incredible and unique visualization of director Tim Burton”
DOORS: 19:45 | FILM STARTS 20:05
We’re returning to Arnos Vale Cemetery in August for our first ever open-air screenings at this historic venue! We’ll be bringing a trailer-mounted LED screen to enjoy two classic 80s blockbusters over an August evening; simply bring your own chairs and join us for some feel-good escapist entertainment to round off the summer holidays.
Our second film is Tim Burton’s noir-tinged adaptation of Batman, which steered the franchise away from the campiness of the 60s show and back towards a darker interpretation of the Caped Crusader that set the benchmark for modern superhero films. Michael Keaton dons the cowl, but it’s Jack Nicholson threatening to steal the show as the Joker wreaking havoc on Gotham with a permanent smile on his face…
