Saturday’s programming in Screen 2 begins with a 40th anniversary of An American Tail, Steven Spielberg’s first foray into animation (as executive producer). Directed by Don Bluth (The Land Before Time, Anastasia) and with an Oscar-nominated James Horner score, it’s an odyssey that’s both magical and moving, and sure to tug at the heartstrings.

Follow young mouse Fievel as he and his family emigrate to the USA in the late 19th Century, only for him to become separated in a freak accident en route. Fievel must face up to his fears, make new friends and overcome obstacles in this strange new world, in a journey that celebrates the importance of diversity and champions those with big dreams and hearts.

• GETTING HERE

  • The Mall Gardens is located in the centre of Clifton Village, just off The Mall. 

  • The main entrance to the venue is on West Mall (what.3.words ///woke.bucket.loves)

  • Buses 8 & 9 both stop in Clifton Village, a short walk from the venue. The nearest train station is Clifton Down, which a 20-25 minute walk from the venue.

  • There are numerous bicycle racks in Clifton Village and the area is within the WESTscoot e-scooter operating zone.

  • Parking in Clifton Village is limited and subject to restrictions.

  • Wherever possible, we encourage walking or the use of public transport when travelling to our events.

• ACCESSIBILITY

  • The Mall Gardens Clifton has level access via the West Mall entrance. . 

  • Whilst the site is flat, some areas may be uneven, or have grass or matting underfoot.

  • If you require a designated wheelchair space please let us know in advance.

  • If you are attending an event as a registered carer for a disabled guest, please bring appropriate proof of eligibility such as proof of blue badge, access card, cinema for all card, letter from a professional or evidence of DLA/PIP. If you are uncertain, please contact us.

  • A wheelchair-accessible toilet will be available at the event.
