Redgrave Theatre unveils plaque dedicated to Old Cliftonian Trevor Howard

Bristol Film Festival Director Owen marked a special moment at Clifton College on Saturday 13th December, as he spoke at the unveiling of a new plaque at the Redgrave Theatre dedicated to Old Cliftonian and acclaimed actor Trevor Howard.

Owen reflected on Howard’s connection to Clifton and his celebrated career in British cinema, noting the significance of recognising alumni who went on to shape the arts on a national stage.

Trevor Howard, best known for roles in Brief Encounter and The Third Man, attended Clifton College before embarking on a career that established him as one of the most respected actors of his generation.
