Made: Local / Impact: Global

This summer, we're celebrating powerful stories made right here in the South West — with two very different films, both created locally but resonating far beyond.

Both screenings celebrate the South West's incredible filmmaking culture — and the stories that connect us all.

Don't Go Gentle: A Film About IDLES (1st & 2nd August)

To coincide with their homecoming gigs, we’re thrilled to present two screenings of IDLES’ own documentary in collaboration with the AF Gang. Join members of the film’s creative team plus AF Gang members and fellow fans, including a photo exhibition by Lindsay Melbourne and a post-film Q&A - all taking place at Averys’ historic cellars, a stone’s throw from the concert venue itself. Join us for these special screenings celebrating all things IDLES!

David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet (17th September)

A rare chance to see this urgent, moving documentary on the big screen, shown with kind permission from the World Wildlife Fund This is Attenborough's personal witness statement, and it hits even harder in a shared space. Featuring a talk from director Jonnie Hughes that gives unique insight into its creation right here in Bristol - it's a powerful piece of cinema that's not to be missed.
