How do I find out more about Bristol Film Festival events?
If you would like more information about our events, you can subscribe to our mailing list using the form below. You can also find out more on Facebook, or follow us on Twitter.

I have bought tickets for an event, but can no longer attend. Can I get a refund?
If you are unable to attend an event, please contact us as soon as possible. We aim to issue refunds wherever possible, but this is subject to the event itself. When requesting a refund please provide your order number.

I have purchased tickets but not received them. How do I resolve this?

Please check any junk email folders for your tickets.

If this still does not resolve the issue, please contact us using the form in the tab above, including your order number, name, and the email to which you would like the tickets to be sent.

Occasionally we have experienced delays between Paypal payments being made and tickets being sent out. In these cases a member of staff will manually email your tickets during office hours.

Do I need to bring seating to your events?
Unless stated otherwise, seating is provided at all of our events; there is no need to bring your own.

Are food and drink permitted at your events?
Bristol Film Festival takes place in a number of venues throughout the city; food and drink policies vary as a result. Many of our venues permit food, but there are some that do not. In some cases, only food and drink purchased on the premises will be permitted.

Please respect individual policies regarding food and drink – they are in place for a reason!

Are your events suitable for children?
We try our best to put on a wide range of events for all ages. Many of these are family events, but we do screen events that are only open to over eighteens. We ask that parents use their own judgement when looking through our festival programme, and note the ratings of the films that we show. If an event is only suitable for an adult audience, this will be clearly noted on the event page, and will be enforced at the venue. All our stewards have the right to refuse entry to anybody they believe to be under the minimum age requirements.

How do I become a Bristol Film Festival volunteer?
We are always looking for new volunteers and would love for you to get involved.
If you are looking for a general volunteering role, please see the volunteering tab above.

I would like to submit a film to your festival, how do I go about it?
We are currently not accepting submissions for our but please check back soon for more information. Please note that we currently only accept films which have a demonstrable link to Bristol and the South West. We do not charge a submission fee.

What concessionary rates do you offer?
Concessionary rates are available to under-18s, students, and over 65s, for the majority of our events. Students will need to provide a valid student ID.

Are your events accessible for disabled guests?

Bristol Film Festival takes place at a wide variety of locations across the city, and therefore accessibility will vary from event to event. However, to date we have never had an issue with any venue – including the Redcliffe Caves – and indeed disabled guests have attended our events without any issues.
If there are any potential accessibility issues, or additional information, this will be displayed on an event’s page. If you have any questions concerning a specific event, please don’t hesitate to contact us before purchase.
A necessary carer of a paying disabled guest is entitled to complimentary admission; please contact us at the time of booking and inform us of the names of both parties.

How can I buy tickets?

All our tickets are currently only purchasable through our website.
