The Woman In Black sees Daniel Radcliffe as Arthur Kipps, a recently widowed lawyer who is sent to a remote village to execute the will of an eccentric old woman. When he arrives at her isolated house he discovers that his client’s house is haunted by the spirit of a woman trying to find someone she has lost.

Arthur Kipps’ career as a lawyer is in jeopardy following his wife’s untimely death. As a last-ditch attempt to save his job, he travels to a remote village to settle the affairs of the recently deceased Alice Drablow. Upon his arrival, Arthur finds the villagers hostile and unwelcoming. It soon transpires that they are keeping a deadly secret, and Kipps finds himself in the middle of a deadly situation…

The story of The Woman In Black has terrified West End audiences since 1989 – equally, this 2012 film adaptation of Susan Hill’s novel does not disappoint. Perfectly paced, and with a looming sense of dread throughout, expect to be on the edge of your seat!
