Head to Bristol Museum for a special screening of The Princess Bride. To celebrate their latest exhibition, Magic, we are hosting an evening of fantastical films about strange and distant lands. Before the film, meet our live performers, who always have a few tricks up their sleeves, then take your seats in the Museum’s incredible rear hall for a mystical cinema experience. If you do find the weird and wonderful particularly bewitching, why not explore this magical exhibition after hours too?
Buttercup, a farm girl, is chosen as the princess bride to Prince Humperdinck of Florian. Secretly, though, she still mourns for her one true love, Westley, who is believed to be dead after the ship he was travelling on was attacked by pirates. When she is kidnapped on the way to her wedding, she discovers that Westley is in fact still alive – will they be able to survive dangerous trials ahead of them, and reunite?
