When aspiring writer Miles (Paul Giamatti) takes his best friend Jack (Thomas Haden Church) to Santa Barbara County for his stag party, he expects it to be a sophisticated weekend of wine tasting. However, Jack is desperate for one final fling before his marriage, and Miles is dragged along. As Miles’ plans are derailed and the hedonistic behaviour increases, both men are forced to address their own shortcomings and reevaluate their relationships – including the ones that they are forming in Santa Barbara.
