ELF

2003 | PG | 93 mins

Buddy arrived at the North Pole as a baby, as a stowaway in Santa’s sack. Raised as an elf, he’s always felt like a bit of an outsider. When the news is broken to him that he is, in fact, a human, Buddy goes on a quest to New York to find his real family and form a relationship with his father, the intimidating businessman Walter Hobbs. Along the way, he must navigate the complications of modern life, whilst trying to keep the magic of Christmas alive.

Starring: Will Ferrell | Zooey Deschanel | James Caan | Edward Asner

Director: Jon Favreau

Screenplay: Neil Marshall

Producer: Christian Colson

THEY SAY: “This is one of those rare Christmas comedies that has a heart, a brain and a wicked sense of humor, and it charms the socks right off the mantelpiece” (Roger Ebert)

WE SAY: Is it really Christmas if you haven’t watched ELF yet? Hilarious and heartwarming in equal measure, it’s no wonder that this film has become almost-obligatory festive viewing.
