The Devil Wears Prada

2006 | PG | 105 mins

Aspiring journalist Andy lands a job as an assistant to the fearsome Miranda Priestley, editor-in-chief of Runway magazine. Although she knows the job is the opportunity of a lifetime, keeping up with Miranda’s excessive demands proves challenging. Can Andy make it through a year in the role, and prove to be a match for Miranda?

STARRING: Anne Hathaway | Meryl Streep | Emily Blunt | Stanley Tucci

DIRECTOR: David Frankel

PRODUCER: Wendy Finerman

WRITTEN BY: Aline Brosh McKenna, based on the novel by Lauren Weisburger

THEY SAY: “The humour is as spiky as a pair of Manolo Blahniks yet The Devil Wears Prada isn’t just a satire on the fashion industry […] Helmer David Frankel brings believable warmth to Lauren Weisberger’s scathing book. Still, the real joy is in a smoulderingly sinister turn by Meryl Streep as Andy’s egomaniacal boss.” – BBC, 2006

WE SAY: Wickedly funny and unflinching in its exposé of the fashion world, The Devil Wears Prada not only boosted the careers of both Emily Blunt and Anne Hathaway, but also earned Meryl Streep her 14th Oscar nomination for acting – furthering her own record!
