Join us for our inaugural event amongst the exhibitions at We The Curious, in our Sci-Fi Cinema series. Before the film, take an exclusive out-of-hours opportunity to explore the exhibits, before settling down to watch the film in one of the UK’s best interactive science centres.
The first film in this series is the cult classic Blade Runner – a perfect opportunity to see the definitive cut of this classic on the big screen in a totally unique environment, in the year that it was set!
Considered the definitive cut – since it’s the only one over which Ridley Scott had complete artistic control – this dystopian masterpiece follows Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former police officer, who is hired to hunt down an escaped group of synthetic humans (known as Replicants) that are hiding in a bleak, futuristic Los Angeles.
STARRING: Harrison Ford | Sean Young | Rutger Hauer | Edward James Olmos
DIRECTED: Ridley Scott
WRITTEN: Hampton Fancher | David Peoples
PRODUCED: Michael Deeley
THEY SAY: “This is a seminal film, building on older classics like Metropolisor Things To Come, but establishing a pervasive view of the future that has influenced science fiction films ever since.” – Roger Ebert, 2007
WE SAY: One of the most influential films of the past 40 years, now is your chance to enjoy the version that Ridley Scott always wanted us to see on the big screen – in 2019, the year that the film is set (no Replicants yet that we know of, but Coca Cola is still as big as ever).
