Francis Ford Coppola’s stunning epic reimagines Heart Of Darkness during the Vietnam War. When a U.S. Army colonel is reported to have gone insane and declared himself a demigod, special operative Willard (Martin Sheen) is sent into the depths of the jungle to terminate the renegade soldier.

STARRING: Michael Sheen | Marlon Brando | Robert Duvall | Frederic Forrest | Dennis Hopper

DIRECTED: Francis Ford Coppola

WRITTEN: John Milius | Francis Ford Coppola

PRODUCED: Francis Ford Coppola

THEY SAY: “Apocalypse Now is the best Vietnam film, one of the greatest of all films, because it pushes beyond the others, into the dark places of the soul. It is not about war so much as about how war reveals truths we would be happy never to discover.” – Roger Ebert, 1999

WE SAY: Consistently ranked as one of the greatest films of all time, this formidable milestone of cinema transcends its “war movie” genre – it’s a haunting, graphic and grueling meditation on humanity and the darkness that contrasts it.
